Watauga Residential College Curriculum & General Education

The goals of our general education program at Appalachian State University are fourfold: (1) Thinking Critically and Creatively, (2) Communicating Effectively, (3) Making Local to Global Connections,  and (4) Understanding Responsibilities of Community Membership.

All Watauga Residential College courses are designed to meet one or more of these goals.  This link shows how Watauga Residential College courses satisfy general education requirements.  For more information about Appalachian State University's General Education program, go here.
