Maggie Bowman

Hello Watauga Residential College! My name is Maggie Bowman, and I am a rising sophomore here at Appalachian! While my second home is the Living Learning Center in Boone, NC, my hometown is Pinehurst, NC. I am a music education major, and when I am not singing and playing piano, I love spending time with friends and family, going to church and campus ministry events, coloring, baking, visiting new coffee shops, meeting new people, and playing outdoor and indoor games. As a recruitment coordinator, I will find and initiate ways to make our WRC community even bigger! Some things that I am passionate about that I would love to bring to the table are community events (service projects and fun activities), how to get more students to join WRC, and listening to ideas from other students. I am willing, able, and ready to serve Watauga Residential College as well as the rest of the school. I have served in leadership positions before in my church youth council, where I planned events to engage the youth group and the church, as well as serving at a Girl Scout Camp since 6th grade, first as a counselor and in the summer of 2026 as a Unit Leader. I will also be serving as an Appol Corps leader this upcoming school year. I am looking forward to meeting and serving you all soon!
