Hey everyone! My name is Emily Escobedo Ramirez, and I'm from Durham, NC! I am a Sophmore majoring in Political Science with a concentration in Public Administration and minoring in Non-Profit Communications. I'm also the 2nd year representative for WRC, an opinion writer for The Appalachian, an AppolCorp leader, and a Tour Guide for admissons! I love to hike and explore nature, read books, listen to music, watercolor, and hang out with friends! I can't wait to meet you all and be helpful to your academic experience here in Watauga!

Hello! My name is Audrey McKay, and I am from Asheville, NC. I am a sophomore Wataugan majoring in Sustainable Technology and I love the mountains. I am in the App State marching band and various clubs around campus. In my free time, I like to play soccer, run, climb, hike, and most outdoor activities. When the weather pushes me inside, I like to paint, play games, and puzzle. This will be my first time peer advising and I am excited to meet everyone! See you around!

Hi! My name is Drew Sipe, I’m a Senior in Psychology and plan to go into Human Resources. This is my third year at App state and I am proud to be a Wataugan, being in WRC has been one of my most formidable experiences. In my free time I love to go on hikes which is one of the main reasons I’m at App state. I also really enjoy cooking and love cooking new things. I am very involved in the psychology department and club and I also love to garden. Excited to be a peer advisor and to answer any questions you may have!

Hello friends! I am from Shelby, NC. I love to be in nature, whether it be hiking or rockhounding (searching for and collecting rocks, fossils, or minerals). When not outdoors, I like staying in for game nights with friends. While at Appalachian, I've joined clubs that share my interests in environmental preservation, appreciation, and education. I am a member of the Geological Society and the Chemical Society. I was drawn to join Watauga Residential College for its community and experiential learning. Let's connect!
